Since 2000 when we received BHS approval we have been holding Cross Country competitions incorporating qualifying rounds for a final which is normally held in Eland Lodge Derbyshire in September.
Many of our riders over the years have been very successful having qualified and gone on to be placed in the National Final.
The course consists of many rustic fences…safe and sturdy. There are three ditches, hedges, a water complex, in fact anything you are liable to meet at an eventing XC course.
The senior Cross Country course is over I mile long. The novice and pairs run over approx 1 mile.
The closest rider to the optimum time with a clear jumping round is the winner. Any rider may take part but to qualify must be a BHS Gold member. The first two members in any class will qualify providing they are BHS members.
